Our Guarantee

We guarantee our repairs and our paintwork for as long as you own the vehicle.

Plenty of body shops say their work is guaranteed and leave it at that. Below is exactly what ours covers, what it does not, and how to use it, so you know where you stand before you decide anything.

What is covered

Our workmanship

The repair work we carry out, for as long as you remain the owner of the vehicle.

Our paintwork

The paint and finish we apply, for as long as you remain the owner of the vehicle. That includes defects in our application such as blistering, flaking, peeling, loss of adhesion or colour breakdown attributable to the work we did.

Parts we fit

These are covered by the manufacturer’s own parts warranty. That warranty comes from the manufacturer rather than from us, and its length and terms are theirs. If a part we have fitted fails within its warranty, bring the vehicle back to us, and we will deal with the manufacturer on your behalf.

What is not covered

We would rather set this out plainly than leave you to find it out later.

  • Fresh accident or impact damage after our repair, including stone chips
  • Normal wear and tear, and deterioration from age or exposure
  • Corrosion arising from damage or from an area we did not work on
  • Damage from neglect, misuse, automatic car washes, incorrect washing, or use of unsuitable chemicals or polishes
  • Work carried out on the same area by somebody else after us
  • Any part not supplied and fitted by us
  • Loss of use, hire costs or other consequential losses

Who the guarantee covers

The person who paid for the repair, for as long as they own the vehicle.

It does not transfer if you sell the vehicle on. We have been deliberately clear about this rather than describing it as a lifetime guarantee and leaving you to discover the limit later.

How to make a claim under it

Contact us as soon as you notice the issue. Bring the vehicle in, or tell us where it is, and we will arrange to see it.

We will inspect the vehicle before any remedial work is carried out. If it is something we are responsible for, we will put it right at our cost. If it is not, we will tell you why, and tell you honestly what it would cost to fix.

Keep your invoice if you can, because it makes identifying the work straightforward, but a missing invoice will not be used as a reason to refuse a genuine claim.

Your legal rights

This guarantee is in addition to your rights under consumer law and does not affect them.
