R&P Accident Repair is an independent bodyshop in Lingfield, Surrey. We repair cars, vans and commercial vehicles for private motorists, local businesses and fleets across Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Independent, and it matters

We are not part of an insurer’s approved network. That is a deliberate position rather than an accident of history.

Network repairers work to rates and methods agreed with the insurer, and the volume of work depends on staying within them. It is a perfectly legitimate way to run a bodyshop, but it puts the insurer’s cost at the centre of the decision making. We would rather the vehicle and its owner sat there instead.

In practice it means nobody else tells us how long a job should take, which paint system to use, or whether a panel is worth repairing properly. If we say something needs doing, it is because it needs doing.

Everything happens here

Structural work, panel work, paint, and refinishing are all carried out on our own site by our own technicians. We do not subcontract the work out to whoever has capacity that week, which is how you end up with a vehicle that has been to three places and a completion date nobody can account for.

We work to manufacturer repair methods using approved paint systems, and we colour-match to your vehicle’s original finish rather than to the nearest shade. How we work

You deal with the same people from the first call through to the day you collect the vehicle. You will not be handed between departments or asked to explain the accident again to somebody new.

We will tell you honestly what needs doing and what does not, and we will give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one. If something changes during the repair, you hear about it at the time rather than at the end.
