You are the customer here, not the insurer

If your car goes to an insurer’s approved repairer, that repairer is answerable to the insurer. They have agreed rates and agreed methods, and the vehicle goes wherever there is space that week.

We are independent. Nobody else sets our rates or tells us how to repair your car, and the person you deal with is the person who is accountable for the job. If you want to know how it is going, you ring us and we tell you. If you want to come and look at the car halfway through, that is fine too.

Being without your car

For most people this is the real problem. The car is how you get to work, how the children get to school and how the shopping gets home, and being without it for a fortnight is a serious inconvenience.

Where you are entitled to one, we will arrange a like-for-like replacement vehicle for the period your car is off the road. Tell us at the first call what you actually need it for. If you have child seats to move across, a dog, or something you tow, it is far easier to sort that out at the start than to swap the vehicle later.

We deal with the paperwork

You tell us what happened, once. After that, we record the details, deal with the claim process on your behalf and provide the insurers with what they need.

You will not be sitting in a queue explaining your accident to somebody new each time, and you will not be chasing anybody for an update. If something needs a decision from you, we will ring you and explain it in plain English.

The repair itself

Your car is repaired at our workshop in Lingfield by our own technicians. We work to manufacturer repair methods using approved paint systems, and we colour match to your car’s original finish rather than to the closest shade in the cupboard.

We will tell you honestly what needs doing and what does not. If a panel can be properly repaired rather than replaced, we will say so, and if it genuinely cannot, we will say that too. Before you collect it, the car is inspected, road tested where appropriate and cleaned, and we will walk you round the work. One thing worth knowing

Insurers move quickly. Once a claim is logged, the work is often placed with a network repairer within a day or two, and if you agree to let someone collect the car, it becomes much harder to change your mind.

You do not have to decide anything immediately. You simply need to avoid agreeing to the repair going elsewhere before you have thought about it.
